Canard-Duchene Vintage 2009
Born of Léonie Duchêne and Victor Canard’s storied romance, Canard-Duchêne is the only champagne house to declare freedom as a state of mind. Nestled in the heart of the Montagne de Reims region, the house draws inspiration from nature, and celebrates it in each of its cuvees.
After a cold and snowy winter, a pleasant spring emerged in 2009. The mild temperatures allowed for healthy vine growth. The beginning of the summer saw heavy rainfall and high temperatures, followed by a hot and dry August, resulting in excellent maturity of the grapes.
On the nose: Intense golden robe.
