Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs 2009
Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs was the first American wine of this kind, originally produced in 1967. Unlike many Blanc de Noirs, there is a small amount of Chardonnay (9% in this vintage), lending some crisp acidity to the wine. The grapes come primarily from Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino counties.
Aromas of persimmon and apricot with additional notes of honey and lemon.
The palate is crisp with orange and lemon with a long, lingering finish.
