Billecart-Salmon Les Rendez Vous No. 7 & 8 Set
No. 7 MEUNIER
Generous and elegant This seventh Rendez-Vous is all about the Meunier grape variety from the Venteuil terroir on the right bank of Vallée de la Marne. Its sunny exposure and its predominantly clay soil offer this wine a fine maturity. Made on the base of the 2018 vintage, it benefits from a long ageing on lees for 63 months. Meticulous selection, focusing on the purity of the fruit and the balance of flavors, always with a low dosage.
TASTING NOTES
On the eye: A luminous straw yellow hue with soft glints of silver enlivened by a fine effervescence elegantly focused towards the center of the glass.
On the nose: The champagne releases a refined floral bouquet (of linden and sweet vernal grass) in league with subtle scents of lemony citrus. It will awaken your senses, ranging from stone fruit (plum) to a suspicion of fruit cake. A very delicate ensemble in which the expression of the Meunier subtly unveils its charms.
On the palate: Generous, delicious flavors, borne upon infused fruits (cherries in syrup, fresh pear, pomegranate), developing towards a vibrant finish with tart saline inflexions.

No. 8 MEUNIER
Sensual and elegant This eighth Rendez-Vous reveals the Meunier grape variety and expresses the full mineral tension of the terroir of Leuvrigny with its predominantly chalky soil. Made on the base of the 2018 vintage, this single-cru champagne benefits from long ageing for 63 months. Meticulous selection, focusing on the purity of the fruit and the balance of flavours, always with a low dosage.
TASTING NOTES
On the eye: A radiant, luminous golden hue with soft glints of silver enlivened by a string of fine bubbles channeled towards the center of the glass.
On the nose: A delicious floral harmony melding white flowers and grasses adding hints of cereals and pastries, developing towards clean nuances of pome fruit and sourdough bread. A subtle, authentic expression of the Meunier grape that reveals its primary nature.
On the palate: Delicious saline creaminess borne upon tart juicy fruit (fresh mango, redcurrant, pomelo), expressing a pure elegant delicacy. A long, refreshing finish with flavors of white cherry, buckwheat and shortbread, takes over from chalky notes.
