J. Vignier Deux Terres 2010
The grapes of this wine, the favorite wine of Jean Vignier, come from two selected vineyards: One in Cramant, one in the Sézannais. The two vineyards are genetically connected to each other. When planting the vineyard in the Sézannais, they took woods from the healthiest vines in Cramant to make a mass selection. So this wine somehow reunifies mother and daughter.
TASTING NOTES
On the palate, the wine is juicy and ample, showing creamy texture and fine bubbles, as well as flavors of apricot and peaches, lemon peel, cinnamon and dried fruits on the final.
PAIRING
It perfectly stands on its own, but you may also enjoy it as an appetizer with some sweet “Biscuits de Reims” or Parmesan crisps.
