Laurent-Perrier Grand Siecle No. 24 in Gift Box (1.5L Magnum)
The idea of Grand Siècle is based on one observation: nature will probably never provide the perfect oenological year but thanks to the art of assemblage, Laurent-Perrier can in fact create it. Going far beyond rare vintages, Grand Siècle is the blending of three outstanding years declared as vintages by Laurent-Perrier and chosen for their complementary traits.
Grand Siècle No.24 is a blend of 2004 (20%), 2006 (20%) and 2007 (60%) vintages.
THE VINTAGES
2004: A warm spring combined with a mixed summer reveals direct/precise wines with beautiful freshness.
2006: A scorching July followed by a humid and cool August brings finesse and elegance to the wines.
2007: Despite a mixed summer, favorable hear and dry weather in September offer structured wines with good length.
TASTING NOTES
On the eye: A sparkling yellow color and a fine effervescence that supports a delicate and persistent thread of tiny bubbles.
On the nose: A complex nose with aromas of candied lemon and clementine giving way to notes of toasted bread and fresh hazelnut.
On the palate: Fresh and mineral at first on the palate with evolving citrus notes. A silky texture offering aromas of honeysuckle and candied lemon. A finish of great complexity and exceptional length.
