The idea of Grand Siècle is based on one observation: nature will probably never provide the perfect oenological year but thanks to the art of assemblage, Laurent-Perrier can in fact create it. Going far beyond rare vintages, Grand Siècle is the blending of three outstanding years declared as vintages by Laurent-Perrier and chosen for their complementary traits.

Grand Siècle No.27 is a blend of 2015 (65%), 2013 (25%) and 2012 (10%) vintages.

TASTING NOTES

On the eye: A gold color with delicate and persistent bubbles.

On the nose: A highly complex nose blending aromas of honeysuckle, candied lemon, hazelnut and fresh almond, followed by notes of pastry, honey and roasted tones. A vibrant, energetic and captivating bouquet.

On the palate: A fresh and vibrant attack on the palate confirms the aromatic impressions, with flavors of ripe fruit, dried apricot, candied citrus and hazelnut. The palate is long and harmonious with refined minerality, full of smooth nuances and vitality.

PAIRING

Grand Siècle pairs with high quality produce and refined dishes, particularly fine cuts of meat, fish, shellfish and truffles.

Appellation: Assembled from 8 Grands Crus. Chardonnay from Cramant, Avize, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Pinot Noir from Ambonnay, Bouzy, Verzy and Tours-sur-Marne.

Aging: 10 years on lees.
